Dr. Justin Cashman has experienced orthopedics as an athlete, treating surgeon, and patient. He founded Performance Orthopedics, a patient-centered, subspecialty orthopedic practice that offers the expertise of his training, his ability to listen,
and other ancillary services integral to patient recovery. Dr. Cashman operates at Surgery Center of Annapolis, an ambulatory surgery center located next door to his practice —fulfilling his vision of a “one-stop shop” for high-quality orthopedic care.
Dr. Cashman completed his orthopedic training at Emory University in Atlanta. He performed two subspecialty orthopedic fellowships in foot and ankle surgery. At the American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham, AL, he treated sports medicine injuries for some of the nation’s elite-level athletes. At Emory University, he concentrated on traumatic foot and ankle reconstruction while serving as an orthopedic trauma surgeon at Grady Memorial Hospital, a Level I trauma center.
Dr. Cashman earned his biochemistry degree from the University of Virginia and his medical degree from George Washington University. He recently attained his MBA from George Washington University, where he was inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma,
the business school academic honor society.
Dr. Cashman is Board-certified in orthopedic surgery, and a member of multiple orthopedic societies. He is a Paul Harris Fellow in The Annapolis Rotary Club, a Leadership Anne Arundel graduate, and is involved with several nonprofit charities and multiple youth sports activities—often coaching his children’s sports teams. He also participates in many national and international open water swim competitions. Dr. Justin Cashman truly exemplifies the face of orthopedic surgery.
